The Monona Grove football team outlasted Fort Atkinson 57-56 in overtime as both offenses exploded in Monona Grove Friday night. Collin Larsh's extra point in overtime following Alec Ogden's one-yard touchdown run gave the Silver Eagles the victory after the teams went back and forth throughout the game.
Neither team ever trailed by more than eights points.
Ogden completed 17-21 passes for 317 yards and six touchdowns for Monona Grove, and also ran for 71 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
Preston Strasburg was the Blackhawks' workhorse with 58 carries for 334 yards and six touchdowns.
Mitch Kelsey had 141 receiving yards and Andryi Nahirniak had 110 and each caught two touchdowns for the Silver Eagles.
