The visiting Madison East boy's basketball team took advantage of a slow start from Big Eight rivals Madison West and grabbed a nine point halftime lead in their 85-71 victory Thursday night.
Madison East sought out revenge for their December 22nd 60-68 loss to West as four players on the team scored double digit points. East senior forward Steve Wooten led the team with 24 points and junior shooting guard Keshawn Justice added 17.
West's leading scorer was senior guard Terrell Carey who scored 22 points in the first half and ended with 32 points before being fouled out with four minutes remaining. Senior guard Simeon Parker added 22 points before also fouling out with two minutes remaining.
