For the first time in team history the L-Cats (23-2) have advanced to the Waunakee sectional finals after outscoring the Trojans (22-4) 6-2 in double overtime for the win at Fort Atkinson.
Seniors Brady Wagner and Alex Ranney both led with 21 points each. Alex Ranney scored his 1,000th point with seconds remaining in the first half.
Junior guard Nacio Villareal led the Trojans with 22 points and scored 15 points in the second half. Senior guard Alec Fruin added 20 points.
