Junior guard Steve Dillard sank a 3-point basket as time expired Friday night to give the Beloit Turner boysbasketball team a 47-45 victory over visiting Evansville in Rock ValleyConference play.
The loss — in a battle that was tight from start to finish — knocked the Blue Devils (3-2, 2-1 Rock Valley Conference) out of the league lead.
Dillard finished with 11 points.Sophomore Dai’Vontrelle Strong led the Trojans (3-1, 2-1) with 18 points.
Evansville got 14 points from senior guard Zach Mielke and 11 from sophomore guard Sulley Geske.
