The Demons (22-5) continued their march through the tournament, advancing to the final for the first time since 1984 in its first state appearance since 1988.
Burlington opened an 11-3 lead with four runs in the top of the fourth inning, pounding out 11 hits over the first four innings and taking advantage of five walks and one error by the Owls (23-3).
Senior outfielder Jenna Schmalfeldt went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Burlington, and senior leadoff hitter Jaina Westphal went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
Katie Kirsch homered and Tayler Rosine tripled for Slinger. The Owls were making their first state appearance.
